Color: black to silver, yellow, orange and red
Smell: good sense
Eyes: large with good sight (better than humans in low light)

Echolocation: do not use
Roosting: live in large colonies
Defense: dominant males defend territories; males may have several females in their territory
Colony: infants tolerated; juvenile males live on the edge
