Steller Cove
Saturday, June 13
8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Sea Lions Taking pictures of animals can be hard. Taking pictures of animals through glass can be even harder. Learn some techniques for getting good animal photos with your digital camera. Start in the classroom to discuss techniques, and then visit the polar bears and Steller Cove exhibits to practice your new skills. Get a chance to take some unique shots from the keeper side of the glass. (Telephoto lens 200mm or greater is recommended.)

Bald Eagle

Wild Life Live! Show Programs
Saturday, July 11
8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
The animals of Wild Life Live! are the Zoo performers. These highly trained birds are both beautiful and well trained. Eagles, hawks, parrots, owls and more will be on hand to pose for some truly great pictures. Where else could you get close enough to count the feathers on a bald eagle's head? (Telephoto lens 200mm or greater is recommended.)

Elephants - FILLED
Saturday, August 15
8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Not all animals need a telephoto lens to get a great shot. In fact, a wide angle lens might help get great shots of our really big residents. Meet the elephants close up and have a chance to take some unique photos as the elephants and their keepers go through their morning routine. (Wide angle lens and telephoto lens would be beneficial.)
