Conservation
Champions are kids working to save the most important
thing we
have: PLANET EARTH!
The Oregon Zoo is looking for kids who are
making a difference helping to save the planet. We have a
"Conservation Champions."
Who can be a Conservation Champion?
Any individual or group from kindergarten through high school
is eligible.
How can I become a Conservation Champion?
Let us know
what you have been doing to help protect the environment.
- Raising funds to help an endangered species.
- Protecting trees in a local park.
- Encouraging community leaders to stop pollution.
- Getting your school cafeteria to use paper intead of styrofoam.
- Forming an "eco-club."
How do I apply?
Just follow the directions on application form and send it in!
Entries
must be postmarked no later March 1.
Awards will be given for:

Grades kindergarten to 8:
1 individual and 1 group

Grades 9 through 12:
1 individual and 1 group |
Winners will be announced at the "Party for the
Planet" in
April.
If you are selected for a Conservation Champion Award you
will receive a certificate for a special Oregon Zoo experience and $100 toward your project.
