Train Classes 2010

The zoo offers a selection of classes that feature our trains. Come take a ride and have a fun learning experience along the way.

KinderMusik Zoo Train
February 17, 24, and
March 3, 10 and 17(five days total)
10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Ages: 1½-3 (with an adult)
Trains, music and zoo animals — a great match up for you and your little one. Sing songs for clapping time and use music to encourage creativity and listening skills. Go on a train ride, bring stuffed animals, wear white socks on your hands for polar bear paws and have fun with more music and movement activities in this series of five Wednesday classes.

10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Ages: 1½-3 (with an adult)

Zoo Members: $170 for one child and one adult, $85 for each additional person.
Non-members: $200 for one child and one adult, $100 for each additional person.

I'll Be Working on the Railroad
June 6
8 a.m. - noon
Ages: 10-15 (with an adult)
Help prepare the STEAM TRAIN for the day. Roll out the train, light the fire, and oil the valves with the train crew. Peek inside the boiler and tour the shops. BRING YOUR CAMERA OR CAMCORDER for a train ride including a PHOTO “RUN-BY”. Wear work clothes.

Zoo Members: $35 for one child and one adult, $10 for each additional person.
Non-members: $43 for one child and one adult, $13 for each additional person.
