Winter ZooVenture Day Camp

 

Camp days include touchable animal visits in the classroom, guided Zoo tours, games, crafts, stories and songs. New animal themes and activities make each day special. Children may attend one day, several days or all the days offered, whatever best fits your schedule.

Early drop-off (8 a.m. - 9 a.m./$5 per day) and late pick-up (4 p.m. - 6 p.m./$10 per day) are available. Please add any early/late care to your registration form.

Lunch: Please note that ZooLunch is NOT available for Winter ZooVenture. Full day campers must pack a lunch and drink.

 

Ages 4 - Kindergarten
Time:
Half-day sessions: 9 a.m. to Noon OR 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost:
Zoo members: $15 per person
Non-members: $18 per person

Ages 4-4th grade
Time:
Full-day sessions: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost:
Zoo members: $30 per person
Non-members: $35 per person

Stripes, Antlers, Horns and Beaks

TigerWhy do tigers and zebras have different stripes? What are antlers and horns used for? And why are there so many different kinds of beaks? Spend the day exploring all the amazing forms animals take and learn about why they look they way they do.

Wildlife Detectives

Monday, December 29

Investigate tracks, trails, sounds and structures. Learn how to unravel the secrets of animal signs and messages left in nature. Look for animal signs in the Zoo and see where they lead you.

Wintering In

Tuesday, December 30

Polar BearDifferent animals get ready for winter in different ways. Some stock up on food, some take a nap and others move south. Spend the day finding out about how the Zoo's animals handle winter in nature.

Wildlife Of The World

Wednesday, December 31

Celebrate the New Year with a whole world of wildlife. A global salute to animals as they are featured in cultures and countries through crafts, stories, legends and songs. Asia, Africa, North and South America are just some of the stops you might make on this whirlwind worldwide tour.
