Zoo Experiences
Each program includes a featured animal exhibit tour, story, craft and snack. Many include a classroom animal visitor. Adults must attend with children; unregistered siblings cannot be accommodated.
All Zoo Experiences are from 10 a.m. to noon.
Zoo Members:
$25 for one child and one adult, $11 for each additional person (2 children per adult maximum).
Non-members:
$29 for one child and one adult, $13 for each additional person (2 children per adult maximum).

Animal In My Backyard

Your backyard is more than a sanctuary for people to BBQ and lounge in—it can also be a lush habitat for dozens of wild creatures! Investigate which species have set up their homes in your backyard and learn some good ways to share your space with them.

Whether it's to attract a mate or blend into their environment, animals use their distinct markings for all different purposes. Look at a variety of different patterns and exotic colorings that are found on animals in the wild. Then put your artistic abilities to work and design your own unique patterns!
Monkeys, Apes & Me — FILLED

What do you have in common with a monkey? Probably more than you think! Monkeys, apes and humans are all primates and we share a lot of the same mannerisms and charcateristics. Practice making some common primate expressions and identify their meanings. Note: Peanuts will be used in this class.
Baby Elephant — FILLED
Friday, December 2
Who doesn't love a baby elephant? Learn about these little ones and how their giant parents care for them. You'll also make a fun elephant craft to take home!

Discover the elephant lifestyle at our Asian elephant exhibit. You'll get a chance to make a fresh salad for the elephants, create a special elephant craft and watch the herd in their habitat.
Penguins, Penguins, Penguins — FILLED

They're back in their home! Come along for a special visit to our penguinarium and learn about the birds who fly underwater. Black tie optional.
Groundhog Day

Can these critters really predict the weather? Hedgehogs make just as good a shadow. Make your own pop-ups and see what your shadow says.
