Zoo To You
Animal focused lessons include hands-on activities and live animals. Ideal for small groups. We can't go to private homes, but you may join with other homeschool families and invite us to a community center, church or library.

Resources to use at the zoo:

Chaperone Guides
Themed activities to do around the zoo. Now in Spanish, too!Armadillo and child

Zoo School
The same programs that come to you in "Zoo To You" are available at the zoo. At the zoo you will get a safari guide to extend the learning as you explore the zoo.

Conservation Champions!
Small grants for kids and groups that are working to save the planet.

Volunteer
Opportunities are available for student alone or with their families in a variety of areas around the zoo. Learning can be fun and give back to the community.

The Oregon Zoo is a great place to learn about animals, nature, habitats, geography, math and even art. Even though many of these programs were designed to use in formal classrooms, they still work great for home school families (and small groups).
