Zoo School


Make the most out of your visit to the zoo. Join education staff in one of the zoo's classrooms for 45 minutes of hands on-activities and animal presentations. Then take your new knowledge out on the zoo grounds for your own self-guided safari.

Presentations must be booked 2 weeks in advance.

Available: Monday-Friday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30.

Duration: 45 minutes

Group Size: 30 students max.

Critter Coverings

Adaptations
Learn how feet, teeth, fur and feathers help animals find enough food. Discover special adaptations of predators and prey that help them eat and avoid being eaten by others. Includes a raptor, reptile and mammal (at least one animal will be touchable) and touchable biofacts.

Northwest Animals
Learn how to look for signs of animals at your school, in your yard and in the forest. Discover how tracks, scat and other animal signs can tell a story. Once you become expert trackers, go out and explore the new Cascade Canyon Trail and see the bears, bobcats and cougars that have recently returned to the Oregon Zoo.
