POLAR
BEAR DAYS
Thursday, Feb. 28 | 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Saturday, March 1 | 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Learn about the polar bear crisis in the Arctic and what you can do to help save the world's largest land carnivore.
Start the day by visiting a hands-on polar bear learning station, discovering little known facts about the bears, and take home special polar bear gifts. The day continues when polar bears receive plastic balls and ice blocks to play and interact with. Afterwards, keepers discuss issues the bears face and what contributes to their decline. "Arctic Ambassador" Kaitlyn Cassimo is on-hand all day to discuss her trip to the polar bear capitol of the world, Churchill, Canada.
