Polar Bear Plunge

POLAR BEAR PLUNGE
Tuesday, January 1 | Time: 11 a.m.

Expose yourself to the COOLEST event of the year. Join Portland meterologists Mark Nelsen, Dave Salesky and Bruce Sussman in a dip into the zoo's polar bear pool to raise funds for polar bears in the wild. Can you bear it? There is a fee to participate. For more information, call 503-226-1561. The event is free to view with regular zoo admission.

Grizzly Bear Wildlife Conservation Lecture Series
Tuesday, January 29 | Time: 7 p.m.

The Wildlife Conservation Lecture Series, hosted by Oregon Zoo, Audubon Society of Portland and World Forestry Center, will be held in Oregon Zoo's Cascade Banquet Center. Cost for each lecture: $10 general admission, $8 for members of host organizations, students and seniors. For more information, call 503-226-1561.
