WolfSUMMER CAMP AT OREGON ZOO
Monday - Friday, June 15 - Sept. 4
4 year olds - K: 9 a.m. - Noon, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. or 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Grades 1 - 9: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Early care: 8 a.m.
Late care: until 6 p.m.

Children can spend five exciting days at the zoo learning about various endangered species. Camp includes tours, games, crafts and more.

Oregon! Oregon! Pink Martini, featuring Oregon! Oregon! With The 234th Army Band

Pink Martini

Back by popular demand, Pink Martini is playing a special concert at the zoo, featuring "Oregon! Oregon!" a comedic theatre production in honor of the 150th birthday of Oregon.

The show includes a performance by the 234th Army Band, "Oregon! Oregon!" and a full set of your favorite Pink Martini music.

Everyone who purchased tickets to the Memorial Coliseum show should visit the "Oregon! Oregon!" page.

Predators of the Serengeti
Exclusive Member Preview

Friday, Sept. 11 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Members will kick off the grand opening weekend of our new Predators of the Serengeti exhibit, featuring African music and dance performances, storytelling and activity stations. It's all a part of Member Appreciation Days!

Grand Opening!

Sept. 12-13 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of our new Predators of the Serengeti exhibit, featuring:

  • African music and dance on the zoo's concert lawn, with performances by Njuzu Mbira, Boka Marimba and Chata Addy
  • Free, full-face painting of African animals from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Games, puzzles and other learning activities focusing on Africa's animals and geography
  • Costume lion for pictures
  • Storytelling in the demonstration area of the exhibit
  • "Discovery Zone" in the exhibit will be staffed by the zoo's Naturalists all weekend
Senior with birds
SENIOR SAFARI
Tuesday, Sept. 15 | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

A special day of free admission and train rides for seniors and their companions (one companion per senior). Refreshments, petting zoo, animal talks, live music and entertainment by seniors. For more information, call 503-226-1561.

Chimpanzee Challenge
CHIMPANZEE CHALLENGE MAZE
April 25 - Oct. 4

$1.00 fee required in addition to regular zoo admission

Swing from vines, soar through treetops and 'Live Chimply' in the Chimpanzee Challenge maze. Perform feats of ape-like strength, agility, and communication to discover the surprising similarities between humans and chimps. Developed in collaboration with world-renowned primatologist Jane Goodall and the Jane Goodall Institute, Chimpanzee Challenge brings the plight of the chimps closer to home, empowering visitors to make a difference.

World Animal Festival World Animal Festival
Saturday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 4 | Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This celebration is an exciting showcase of how various cultures around the world revere and celebrate animals. Local cultural groups will present animal folklore to zoo guests in a variety of ways, including performance art, hands-on crafts, educational activities and art exhibits.

Wed., Thurs., Fri. and Sat. nights | Time: 5 p.m. – 9:30 a.m.

ZooSnooze is your group’s chance to see the zoo in a whole new light - moonlight! It's a fun and educational experience for your group of 15- 75. See our animals under the cloak of darkness - one of their liveliest times. For registration information, call 503-220-2781.
