October 29 - November 3: Polar Bear Arctic Adventure Trip to Canada
David Shepherdson, Deputy Conservation Manager and
polar bear researcher at The Oregon Zoo, will lead a small group on
trip to Churchill, Manitoba, to the "Polar Bear Capital of the World".
The trip follows the Oregon Zoo's ZooTeens expedition to Churchill
to attend Polar Bears International leadership camp. Reservations are
limited; please contact the zoo for details.
December: ZooLights
The zoo celebrates the Northern Lights, or wild polar bear nightlights at its annual light-time festival.
