Join Portland meteorologists in the Oregon Zoo's Polar Bear Plunge - an experience like no other!

For a donation of $500, Plunge participants dip into the polar bear pool to raise funds for Polar Bears International through The Oregon Zoo Foundation's* Future for Wildlife Fund. Anyone can participate, but space is limited! (Under 18 requires parent or guardian signature.) Can you bear it?

Cool stuff for Plungers: Besides helping a species in peril, Plungers receive a Behind the Scenes tour of the polar bear exhibit (10:30 a.m.) with KPTV's Mark Nelsen, KOIN's Bruce Sussman and KGW's Dave Salesky, a pair of Sorel boots, a complimentary lunch, a group color photo, and bragging rights.

The event is free to view with regular zoo admission.
