Eagle and falconThis year the Wild Life Live! program is proud to present "Predators of the Sky," the free-flight bird show sponsored by Portland General Electric. In anticipation of the opening of the Zoo's new Predators of the Serengeti exhibit later this summer, the new show highlights our avian predators. During "Predators of the Sky" you will see our eagles, owls, hawks and vultures; all important predators or scavengers. Some are even found right here in the Metro area!

"Predators of the Sky" free-flight demonstrations will be performed daily at 11:00, 12:30 and 2:30 (weather permitting). At 3:30, you can get a close-up view of some of the stars of the show at the Animal All-Stars display. This is a great chance to take pictures and ask questions about your favorite bird! You might even catch a surprise appearance from one of our other wildlife show stars, including our macaws and our prehensile-tailed porcupine.

porcupine Shows will not be performed on concert days. Instead, birds will be on display at various times throughout the day. Check the Wild Life Live! signs at the zoo entrance and near the show lawn for the exact times.

You can also see some of our bird stars online.

The Wild Life Live! program depends on the generous support of Portland General Electric. PGE has supported Wild Life Live! since 1986 and paid for the zoo's energy-efficient and environmentally friendly bird mews, where the birds are housed. To find out more about the mews and how the birds are trained, visit our Behind the Scenes page!

See wonderful birds at Wild Life Live! Wild Life Live! is also available for special appearances at schools and community organizations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. In addition, individual birds are available to make appearances. If you are interested in bringing Wild Life Live! to your school please visit our Education page. It is a great way to learn more about these majestic creatures up close!
