FREQUENTLY ASKED BIRTHDAY PARTY QUESTIONS

Q. May we decorate the party hut?
A.The hut will be decorated in a Dino theme when you arrive. You may bring additional decorations, but there is no discount in price. Balloons or anything taped or tacked to the wall are prohibited. Other items prohibited on zoo grounds include balls, piñatas, Frisbees and bicycles.

Q. May we store presents in the party hut while we tour the zoo?
A. The zoo cannot accept responsibility for items left or stored in party huts during your zoo visit. We recommend that you return to your car and store them there.

Q. May we bring our own food and cake for the party?
A. Yes, but there is no discount in price. The Africafe cannot store any outside food or drink in the restaurant refrigerators or freezers.

Q. Are there menu options for adults?
A. Yes. The Africafe menu includes burgers, sandwiches, soup and salads.

Q. Will we be escorted to the AfriCafe party hut?
A. No. Zoo maps are available at the front gate. The birthday party greeter will meet your group at the Africafe. Restaurant doors open at 10:30 am (entry to the Africafe is guaranteed no earlier than 10:30 am).

Q: May we rent a hut without purchasing a party package?
A: No. The huts can only be reserved with the purchase of a party package.

Q. Is the Africafe terrace available to rent for birthday parties?
A. No, the terrace is reserved for catered events only. If no catered event is scheduled, outside areas are available to visitors on a first come first serve basis.

Q. How much is admission?
A. Adults, $9.75; Seniors, $8.25; Youth (3-11), $6.75; 2 & under, Free

Q. May we purchase tickets in advance?
A. Yes, you can purchase tickets on our web page at http://oregonzoo-cascadeoutfitters.stores.yahoo.net/ or in person at the zoo's main office.

Q. Are there any discounts?
A. Yes. There is a 20% discount in admission for a group of 20 or more when payment is made at one time. This discount applies only to zoo admission, not to birthday party packages.

Q. Can we purchase simulator, dino and train tickets in advance?
A. Yes, you can buy tickets online at http://oregonzoo-cascadeoutfitters.stores.yahoo.net/ or in person at the zoo’s main office.
