Speaker's Bureau

Learn more about the Oregon Zoo, its residents and its efforts to save rare and endangered species. A zoo representative will visit your meeting place with a visual presentation and share the latest information from the zoo. We offer talks on several topics and effort will be made to include specific information that may be interesting to your group of adults.

21st Century Zoo

Zoos have change rapidly in the last 50 years. Gone are the days of having one of everything in sterile artificial environments. Today’s zoos are modern facilities that provide naturalistic exhibits for our animals that are living in natural social groups. Learn how zoo professionals care for the mental and physical well-being of our animals and develop an appreciation for all creatures through our education programs.

Conservation at the Oregon Zoo (available in February 2009)

The Oregon Zoo actively participates in the conservation of species around the world. See how our zoo is supporting conservationists working in the field around the world. Closer to home the Oregon zoo is raising species native to the Pacific Northwest to ensure they continue into the future.

Scheduling

We will come to your meeting location (within 50 miles of the Zoo) or you can have your meeting at the zoo, include a presentation and a catered meal then tour the zoo.
