Conservation Marketing Internship

It’s a jungle out there...Why not prepare for it with an internship at the zoo?

Job Description: Use your marketing, writing and organizational skills to help save the earth! We are looking for a college senior or graduate with coursework in marketing, communications and/or public relations for a 20-hour-per-week. The internship is a minimum of 12 weeks, but many interns opt to stay on for 6 months or more.

What you would do in this internship...

  • organize public information/education campaigns on backyard habitats, ocean conservation, and the zoo’s breeding programs for Northwest “sensitive” species (turtles, condors, butterflies, etc.)  This could include writing press releases; developing content for web pages; working with graphic designers to create information displays and writing brochures, flyers and other written communications pieces.
     
  • Organizing internal campaigns to encourage zoo employees to save paper and energy and leave their cars at home.
