Education/Qualifications:

• Depending on experience, 2 - 4 years of college
• Ability to work with exotic and sometimes dangerous animals
• Good communication skills with animals and humans

Job Duties:

• Observe and interpret animal behavior
• Maintain animal living quarters
• Feed animals according to individual nutrition plans

Salary Range:

• $30,000-50,000 a year

Where do I start?:

• Take lots of science classes in school
• Volunteer at the Humane Society, local shelters or veterinary hospitals
