Camp Day Care
Rate of pay: $8.40 per hour - Accepting Resumes Feb. 1 - March 26
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Dates of Employment: part-time temporary - 15 hours per week - June 21 - Sep. 3
Camp Day Care Staff are responsible for supervising and organizing activities, games and snacks for up to 30 children
with two other staff. Camp Day Care Staff will check in and out children to authorized adults following the Oregon Zoo's
safety protocols in regards to this. Camp Day Care Staff will provide a safe, positive, fun and secure environment for
participants.

Camp Counselor
Rate of Pay: $9.50 per hour - Accepting Resumes Feb. 15 - March 26
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Dates of Employment: full-time temporary - June-August (12 weeks) Mon. – Fri. 7:45 am – 4:15 pm
Camp Counselors are responsible for developing and presenting educational activities for children 4 years - 7th grade using zoo exhibits, animal artifacts, and classroom discovery stations. They will also facilitate daily activities such as crafts, story reading, snacks, set-up and clean-up. Counselors will also mentor youth volunteers so they will become capable assistants working with children.

Insect Zoo Assistant
Rate of pay: $9.50 per hour - Accepting Resumes Feb. 1 - March 31
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Dates of Employment: part- or full-time temporary - June 1 - Sep. 10
Assist with the care of animals, public programming, and supervision of youth volunteers
(ZooTeens) at the Insect Zoo.

Assist with the coordination of animal care, staffing and public programming at the Insect Zoo,
including animal care, mentoring youth volunteers (ZooTeens) and public programming.

Naturalist Rate of pay: $10.50 per hour - Accepting Resumes Feb. 1 - March 31
Dates of Employment: part- and full-time temporary - June 1 - Sep. 10
Develops and presents interpretive talks and programs to visitors on Zoo grounds. Presentations
using animal and cultural artifacts will explain the natural history of Zoo animals and promote
conservation of animals and their habitats. Naturalist will also serve as mentor for teen
volunteers developing their presentation and interpretive skills.
