Enrichment for wolves

Food - Wolves are omnivores, but they eat mostly meat. At the zoo, they are fed dog kibble as part of their diet! In the wild, wolves mainly eat Caribou.

Families - Wolves live in large packs of 8 - 35 members. They howl at night to find other members of the pack.

Location - Boreal forests, mountains, and tundra from Canada to Alaska.

* Cardboard houses offered during Christmas.
* Ice treats.
* Scents sprayed around exhibit.
* Stream for wading in on hot days.
* Cardboard and Paper Mache bats.
* Dog treats around exhibit.
* Training provides human interaction.
* Rock "Den" for sleeping.
