HELMET HEAD
The pachycephalosaurus' skull could be 10 inches thick! Some believe this dinosaur hit heads to compete for mates or territory. Recently, however, scientists have discovered that pachycephalosaurus' skull was porous — indicating it might not have hit other animals head-on, but along the sides to inflict injury. Still other scientists counter that the head-on impact could have been absorbed by a strong backbone. We may never know for certain.
