ZooTeen Program: Requirements

We are looking for young people who...

...will be entering 9th-12th grade (no exceptions)
...have an interest in animals and desire to learn and share with others
...are able to make a summer long commitment to the ZooTeen Program

If selected, the applicant is asked to:

• have a negative TB test (within the last 9 months)
• attend all training sessions (3 days in May)
• work two 5-1/2 hr shifts each week during the summer (two weeks vacation is allowed)
• participate in all aspects of the program

Tuition

$100 non-refundable tuition fee (due after acceptance notification.)

Tuition Assistance is available for tuition and/or bus passes. The number is limited and will be awarded based on need. Please email ZooTeen@oregonzoo.org for an application.(Available after acceptance.)

Dress Code

ZooTeens are asked to wear ZooTeen T-Shirt (provided) and khaki pants or shorts. Closed-toe shoes are required, no sandals
