Polar bears are on thin ice these days, and other bear species are impacted by climate change too. Their fate is up to us.

10 things you can do to reduce global warming
1   Use your legs. Walk, bike, or use public transportation.  
2   Replace old incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient compact florescent bulbs.
3   Unplug the TV and small appliances when not in use.  
4   Put on shorts, drink iced tea and open a window to keep cool in summer. Try sweaters, blankets and hot tea to keep toasty warm in winter. bear claw left
5   Recycle and reuse. Remember you get 5¢ for every soda can in Oregon.
6   Don't leave your car running.
7   Try a scooter, hybrid or alternate fuel vehicle.
8   Hang laundry out to dry.
9   Buy local produce or locally manufactured products.
10   Get some exercise by using hand lawn mowers and hedge trimmers.
