Chimpanzees and mandrills in this older exhibit will be moving into a larger, more natural and more stimulating home as part of a community-funded bond project. A complex of indoor and outdoor habitats will replicate the chimps' West African forest, woodland and savanna habitats. They'll have a choice about where to spend each day and whether to live in family groups or separately, as they do in the wild. Mandrill males range over a large territory in the wild; new "treeways" will allow more and longer pathways through the canopy.
