Sunset at the Zoo, presented by Banfield Pet Hospital, is a series of evening "late hours" in the park.
Each Sunset event features animals that are active at dusk, fun activities for families, pettable animals and live entertainment. Banfield Pet Hospital veterinarians and vet techs will be on hand, presiding over a "Pet Patch-Up" station for stuffed animals, and kids can show off their best dog and cat impressions in Banfield's "Howl and Meow" contest.
Food offerings including gourmet picnic baskets from Peacock Picnics, as well as local beer and wine service, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and other food carts, make this the perfect place for dinner al fresco while enjoying the best of Portland on a summer evening. Picnic baskets can be pre-ordered for your convenience, right up to the same day of the event.
Sunset at the Zoo takes place every other Wednesday during July and August.
