World Elephant Day

August 12, 2014 - 09:30am to 02:30pm

World Elephant Day unites the globe in the fight for elephant survival

On Tuesday, August 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can celebrate World Elephant Day on the concert lawn, where they can watch the Oregon Zoo Asian elephant family, participate in elephant-related crafts and take action for both African and Asian elephant conservation.

Visitors can also get a sneak peak into Elephant Lands and learn from zoo staff how this world-class habitat will provide the zoo's elephant family with a life full of great health, welfare and choice for generations to come.
