Citizen Scientists for Backyard Habitats – there are many ways that you can help wildlife in your area, even without a backyard habitat:

• Journey North – Participate in a global study of migration.Project Feeder Watch –Count birds at your feeders and submit the data to scientists! Portland Audubon's Christmas Bird Count – Join up with other volunteers to count birds on a specific day in a specific area.FrogWatch USA – Monitor and count frogs and other amphibians to help in a long-term study conducted by the National Wildlife Federation and the United States Geological Survey.Association of Zoos and Aquariums has a great website where kids can build their own Frog-Friendly Yard.The North American Butterfly Association needs help in counting butterflies one day each year to census butterfly populations.Monarch Watch Program is dedicated to conserving monarch butterflies and is an educational outreach program based at the University of Kansas.
