Bright lights, big savings: 2-for-1 deals for ZooLights

December 3, 2013 - 12:45pm

Visitors can pick up discounted-admission coupons at participating Toyota dealers

The Oregon Zoo is looking to make people's holidays a lot brighter without making their wallets a lot lighter.

ZooLights, a winter wonderland of nearly 1.5 million brilliant colored lights, runs now through Jan. 5 at the zoo. Visitors to the annual display, presented by Toyota, can enjoy big savings this week and next by picking up a two-for-one coupon at participating Toyota dealers. Coupons are valid Monday to Thursday evenings, now through Dec. 12.

And on Dec. 10, all ZooLights tickets are buy-one-get-one-free — no coupons required — as an extension of the zoo's popular Second Tuesday admission-discount program, sponsored by the Walmart Foundation. During regular hours that day — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — visitors can see the zoo for the reduced price of $4 per person. (Visitors who enter the zoo before 4 p.m. are welcome to stay for ZooLights.) As always, children 2 and younger are admitted free.

Once immersed in the ZooLights, guests can take advantage of some delicious food specials as well. The zoo's Cascade Grill is offering a free children's meal with the purchase of an adult meal, and Bearwalk Café is offering a free marshmallow crisp with the purchase of select meals.
