Reservations are going fast for zoo's May 14 Mother's Day buffet
Most moms appreciate the thought behind breakfast in bed, but who wants to clean up the mess afterward? Treat Mom to a delicious brunch at the Oregon Zoo this year, and let the professional catering staff take care of the prep and cleanup.
The zoo’s annual Mother’s Day brunch takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 14, in the Cascade Crest ballroom. This year’s menu includes bagels with house-cured lox, made-to-order omelets, brioche French toast and more. See the full menu.
The brunch buffet is $45 for ages 12 and up and $18 for children ages 3-11 (with a 10 percent discount for zoo members and moms). All revenue from the Mother’s Day brunch supports the zoo’s work in conservation, education and animal welfare.
Seatings start at 9 a.m. and are available every 15 minutes. For reservations, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 503-525-4299.
After brunch, guests may want to walk off their meal with a visit to some of the zoo’s notable moms and families — like Asian elephant Rose-Tu, mom to 4-year-old Lily and her big brother, Samudra.
Brunch prices do not include zoo admission (which is not required to attend the buffet). Members, as always, may attend the zoo for free.
