Only at the zoo
The zoo is the only venue where your private event benefits animal care and conservation while providing your guests with a unique experience. Consider any of the following activities to complement your event:
- Invite some special guests to your event! The zoo has a variety of education animals that make special appearances upon request. When these amazing animals arrive, you'll be sure to have everyone's attention.
- If planning your event during ZooLights or other zoo events, your guests can enjoy an enhanced experience by strolling under a million brilliant lights or enjoying a concert in the outdoor amphitheater.
- Kids and adults always enjoy a ride aboard one of three historic Washington Park and Zoo Railway trains. Choose from a quick trip around zoo grounds, or in spring and summer, ride to all the way to the Washington Park station.
- Kids can enjoy a special adventure through the zoo with zoo keys. Find one of the 17 animal talk boxes around the zoo, insert the zoo key and discover facts and stories about the animals.
Catered food and beverage
The zoo uses local, seasonal, sustainably grown and harvested products and offers a variety of menu choices from casual picnic fare to more upscale hors d'oeuvres, buffet dinners or plated entrees. Catering staff is available to make recommendations and create a customized menu for your event.
