Zoo Ambassadors

Join the summer fun, become a Zoo Ambassador!

Zoo Ambassadors volunteer to help run Zoo Quest, an interactive scavenger hunt activity that engages young zoo guests and their families to help protect wildlife. This year we will be exploring the impact of wasted food on wildlife and offering easy, accessible ways our guests can help by taking simple acts in their kitchen. Volunteers will become experts who talk to the public and run various hands-on learning stations around the Oregon Zoo. ZooAmbassadors receive a 5 hour training that introduces them to the topic of wasted food, wildlife protection, and educational interpretation. ZooAmbassadors will be working near zoo animal exhibits, but will not be interacting with zoo animals.
