Spring Teacher Workshop

April 17, 2015 - 08:30am to 05:00pm

Use Project Learning Tree and Project WILD to explore the topic of food webs through the fascinating lens of the area’s most notable scavengers – the California Condor and Turkey Vulture.

Guest presenters from the zoo’s animal care staff and live animals will reinforce important concepts. In addition, you will learn how to integrate the Oregon Zoo and Metro natural areas into your classroom curriculum; collaborate with other teachers; and learn about Metro resources available to schools and teachers.

CEU’s and substitute reimbursement will be available.

This workshop will specifically address 5th grade Next Generation Life Science Standards, however any interested teachers are encouraged to attend.
