Protecting Endangered Painted Dogs

March 21, 2018 - 05:00pm

African painted dogs are cooperative, pack oriented and powerful hunters—and they're also under threat. During this talk, guests will learn more about the amazing characteristics of painted dogs, the issues they face and how to help save them.
The evening will begin at the Cascade Grill—food and beverages, including wine and beer, will be available for purchase. Guests will then head the painted dog habitat for special viewing and keeper talk. Dr. Greg Rasmussen, founder of the Painted Dog Research Trust, will present about his conservation work in Zimbabwe, inspiring and training the next generation of conservationists and using scientific data to save painted dogs.
