The Oregon Zoo is open every day of the year, except Dec. 25.

Getting to the zoo and parking

The zoo is part of 400-plus-acre Washington Park in hilly Southwest Portland. It's easy to get to the zoo by combining biking, walking, or driving with public transit. Save money, conserve gas and enjoy the ride!

Accessibility

The Oregon Zoo is accessible to people of all abilities.

Wheelchairs and strollers

Wheelchair, stroller and electric scooter rentals are available to help you explore every bit of the zoo's savannas, canyons and rain forests.

Animal habitats closed while we complete the final community-funded bond projects: 

  • Orangutans - returning 2020
  • Rhinos - returning 2020
  • Hippos - closed permanently to expand rhino habitat
  • Polar bears - returning 2021
