Wild Connections - ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Meet some of the zoo's most amazing residents!

Each experience includes an up-close encounter with an animal, an inside look at animal care and conservation efforts and the opportunity to take photos. Some experiences also include the chance to feed or touch the animals.

All animals have the choice to participate in these experiences and benefit from the stimulation and exercise. Any program involving our resident animals is subject to change or cancellation based on the animal’s choices and needs. Occasionally, they may decide not to take part in some activities (or take a nap instead). If this happens, we'll do our best to accommodate with a new time or different activities. Thanks in advance for sharing the zoo's commitment to animal welfare and choice!

*Please note: Admission is not included in your Wild Connection. When you purchase your Wild Connection tickets, you will be taken to a page to add admission tickets to your cart before you check out.

Our fall and winter schedule is November 1 through May 25.

Tips and useful information

Allow plenty of time for parking and arrival. The zoo opens at 9:30 a.m., and you are welcome to explore the zoo before and after your Wild Connection. Please be sure you arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time and at the designated area listed on your Wild Connections ticket. Guests arriving after the scheduled start time will be unable to join the experience.

Please note the following:

  • Service animals are not permitted in any animal experience.
  • Individuals aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • These experiences are held rain or shine and often take place in outdoor areas, so please dress for the weather.
  • Please be sure you have sturdy shoes with good traction as you may be walking on wet surfaces of varying types. Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended for all behind-the-scenes experiences, as some surfaces in animal and keeper areas may be wet or uneven.
  • If you do not have the maximum number of guests in your party for your experience, you may be joined by others.
  • The age requirements listed for each program is intended for safety.
  • Please note that any loud noises or excessive movements may not encourage some animals to participate.
  • Some experiences are accessible for guests using wheelchairs. Please advise us of any disabilities, special needs, medical conditions, allergies or any other concerns you may have that could prevent you from fully participating in the experience. The more information you can provide, the better we can assist you. We are not a nut-free facility and have many different foods around for animal diets. Gloves are always available upon request.
  • Call our reception office at 503-226-1567 if you have any questions or concerns.

Please note: Admission is not included in your Wild Connection. When you purchase your experience tickets, you will be taken to a page to add admission tickets to your cart before you check out.
