Gardens
In 2011, the Oregon Zoo received funding from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust to provide visitors with more information on the zoo's expansive botanical collection. Funds from this grant helped purchase more than 1,200 durable botanical signs, dotting 14 exhibits across 64 acres. View the list of newly-labeled plants by exhibit, and view a map of the zoo's exhibits.
Backyard Makeover exhibit
Enjoy family activities in a wildlife-friendly garden tucked between the Insect Zoo and Lorikeet Landing, and learn how to cultivate native habitat in your own backyard. The exhibit is a joint effort between Metro's Oregon Zoo and natural gardening program, and Oregon State University's Extension Service. Learn more about the exhibit.
