Programs and events for Thursday June 20
- Keeper Talks are held throughout the zoo from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The new flamingo habitat is now open in the Africa Rainforest aviary.
Important hours
- Summer hours: Today, the zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and visitors can stay on grounds until 7 p.m.
- The Cascade Grill and Africafe is open 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Cascade to Go kiosk is open at 10 a.m.
Construction or accessibility notes
- Wild Life Live! shows are weather-dependent and are not presented on summer concert days or on June 19, 20; July 15, 16, 20; August 13. On those days, birds are on display around the concert lawn at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Condors of the Columbia is scheduled to open in spring, 2014
Train
- The train will run to Washington Park daily until September 2. The first train boards at 10:30 a.m. Fare is $5.00. The Washington Park Station will be open, zoo admission must be purchased with train fare.
Parking or riding
Parking is $4 per car. Ride transit and receive $1.50 off admission with each proof of ridership.
