Uncork the wildest new tasting event in town!

What pairs well with Oregon wine on a summer evening? The Oregon Zoo, of course! Drink grapes with the apes or sip wine with a porcupine at the wildest new wine event in town. Wine for Wildlife features 30 wineries with offerings sure to entice every palate. Savor the best wines the Northwest has to offer while strolling the zoo’s beautifully forested grounds after hours. 

Enjoy expert tasting notes, live entertainment and delicious food. Get to know wildlife through keeper chats and animal encounters with zoo experts. Each general admission ticket includes 8 (2 oz.) drink samples and an exclusive branded glass. 

Every ticket purchased helps the Oregon Zoo protect endangered species at home and around the world. Support a great cause and gather friends, bring a date, or sip solo at Wine for Wildlife.

FAQs

  • What is included with my ticket?

    Each general admission ticket includes 8 (2 oz.) drink sample tickets and an exclusive souvenir glass. Additional drink tickets may be purchased for $2 each.  

  • What if I am not drinking?

    We offer a non-drinker admission ticket for those who would like to experience the event without alcohol. Please note that those who have purchased a non-drinker admission ticket will not be able to purchase drink tickets or upgrade to general admission at the event.   

  • Where can I get extra drink tickets?

    You can purchase extra drink tickets at stations around the zoo, including the train and carousel ticket booths. Please note, the zoo is cashless. Cash-to-card machines are free to use and located near the entrance and amphitheater. 

  • Can I purchase a bottle of wine at this event?

    No. Bottles of wine will not be available for purchase at this event. 

  • Do I need a photo ID to enter?

    Yes. No one without a valid ID will be allowed to enter the event and tickets are not refundable.  

  • Can I enter the Wine for Wildlife if I came to the zoo for daytime admission?

    Special events like ZooNights are ticketed separately and are not included with daytime admission tickets. All visitors with a daytime admission ticket, including members, must exit the zoo when it closes to prepare for special events. 

  • Can members of my party enter separately?

    Yes. Simply share the scannable code from your confirmation email and let the ticket scanner know that other members of your party will be arriving after you.

  • Will I see animals?

    Some animals may be visible, but most will be off view as keepers wrap up their evening tasks before the zoo closes.  

  • Will the train and carousel be open for Wine for Wildlife?

    The zoo's train and carousel will operate during the event. Tickets may be purchased online, or on-site at each ride’s ticket booth during your visit.

  • Where do I park? How much does parking cost?

    A limited amount of parking is available in the lot adjacent to the zoo and throughout the park. Visitors can pay for parking at pay stations with coin or card, or through the Parking Kitty app.  

    Park & Ride is just 8 minutes away and two exits west of the Oregon Zoo at the Sunset Transit Center. 600+ FREE parking spaces are available. MAX train from Sunset Transit Center to the zoo arrives every 10 minutes or less. TriMet fare is required on MAX.  

  • Where do I enter the zoo?

    Please enter through the main entrance, which is located near the Washington Park MAX station and adjacent to the main parking lot.  

  • Where is rideshare pickup?

    Rideshare pickup is located just south of the main zoo entrance, in front of Conservation Hall.
