Have drinks with your friends, family, date or coworkers while playing lawn games, learning about cheetahs, lions and painted dogs, trying out local food carts and supporting the zoo’s mission.
Come to happy hour at the zoo and have beers, cider, wine, cocktails and dinner among the animals. Keepers will educate guests about how these big cats and dogs and their habitats are under threat, and find out what simple actions humans can take to help.
Visitors who are 21+ can enjoy a zoo experience with dates, friends or family at an adults-only event. Having cocktails at the zoo isn't just fun, it helps raise awareness and support for the zoo's mission of creating a better future for wildlife through its animal welfare, education, and conservation programs. There will be local food carts including Verde Cocina, CS Fishery, Ben & Jerry’s, Pip’s, Zeds and Ruby Jewel, and breweries, wine and signature snacks and cocktails for the event.
There will be "snare art" featuring painted dogs and giraffes that has been made from poacher snares that are found and given to village people to convert to art to be sold. Proceeds from artwork sold will help to fund the Painted Dog Research Trust. (Please note that there will be kids on zoo grounds until 7 p.m. due to summer hours).
Tickets are $24.95 per person, $19.95 for Oregon Zoo members. Happy hour tickets will include zoo admission, one drink ticket, lawn games, photo ops, keeper talks and crafty activities. Designated drivers pay the same ticket prices but will enjoy unlimited soda and water. Guests can ride the train and carousel for an additional charge.
