International Beaver Day

April 4, 2020 - 11:00am to 03:00pm

Celebrate Oregon’s favorite rodent at the zoo!

Did you know beavers can alter the landscape more than any other species on the planet, except for one? These important dam builders are a "keystone species"—the wetlands they create benefit all types of wildlife. Join Oregon Zoo keepers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to learn more about the importance of these amazing animals.

Schedule

  • 11 a.m.: Keeper talk at beaver exhibit
  • 12 to 3 p.m.: Activities in the Nature Exploration station

Free with zoo admission.

Parking is $2/hour or $8/day, and lots tend to fill up quickly—so taking public transport is encouraged. Call 503-238-RIDE (7433) or visit Trimet for fare and route information.
