Members will enjoy exclusive perks during Member Appreciation Weekend, including special discounts on select retail items and double-discounted train rides. Additionally, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., members can access a dedicated members-only activity area at Polar Plaza. This area will feature family-friendly Earth Day crafts and activities, a selfie station, limited member giveaways, and special animal encounters at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

And here's an extra treat: Bring a friend with you! During Member Appreciation Weekend, each membership household can bring one extra guest at no additional cost, regardless of membership level.

Where can I find the members-only activity area?
The members-only activity area is located at Polar Plaza, near Elephant Ears. Please show proof of membership to gain entry.

Do members need to make reservations?
Yes, members are still required to make reservations. However, members enrolled in the digital card program do not need a reservation to enter the zoo after 2 p.m. and up to 90 minutes before the zoo closes. A photo ID and digital member card are required. Learn more about reservation-free member hours.

How can I bring a guest for free?
Bring your guest with you to the zoo. Please note that you cannot reserve a free guest online, even with a member reservation ticket. Your free guest will be checked in separately when we scan your reservation ticket. If you want to bring more than one guest, you can log into your online account and purchase discounted admission tickets for them. As with guests covered by your membership, your free guest must arrive with the named member for entry at the same time; free guests may not arrive at a later or earlier time your member reservation timed ticket states.

If my membership already has a free guest option, does that mean I can bring two guests?
Yes, the free guest benefit is extended to all memberships during Member Appreciation Weekend, regardless of level. Guests covered by your membership must have member reservation tickets. Your free guest will be checked in manually when we scan your member admission ticket.

What time are the animal encounters?
Animal encounters will occur twice daily, at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., in the members-only activity area at Polar Plaza.
