Membership Terms & Conditions
*Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable*
As an Oregon Zoo member, you play an important role in supporting the zoo’s efforts in preserving threatened and endangered wildlife and make it possible to continue to develop new, world-class habitats and animal enrichment.
The primary benefit of membership is daytime access to the zoo. By purchasing, renewing or upgrading a membership, you accept these Membership Terms & Conditions, which may include changes to previous terms and conditions. Oregon Zoo reserves the right to make operational decisions that may result in changes to the membership program. Membership prices and benefits are subject to change at any time and without notice. Any change to benefits other than daytime access for adults, guests and children specifically covered by your membership does not constitute a breach of these terms and conditions. For current benefits, please visit oregonzoo.org/membership.
Memberships are for personal use only and are not for group homes, clubs, social groups, businesses, resale, or promotional use. Memberships cannot be shared with neighbors, friends, co-workers or relatives in a separate family unit. Membership cards are nontransferable; benefits only apply to named cardholders. Misuse of any nature may result in immediate cancellation of your membership.
Memberships start immediately upon purchase. Memberships are valid for one year from date of purchase or from your current expiration date, whichever is greater. Oregon Zoo will not be responsible for any zoo closures caused by conditions beyond the reasonable control of the Oregon Zoo, including, but not limited to, force majeur, government restrictions, natural disasters, emergency delarations, pandemics, strikes or lock-outs, accident, transportation delay, weather or power failure. The zoo is closed on Christmas Day, December 25, and may close on additional days for special events. Hours of operation are seasonal; winter operations may include limited days per week that the zoo is open to the public between November and February. Information about closures will be provided as early as possible on the Zoo’s website and social media. Please check the website before each visit to confirm hours. All rides, attractions and events are subject to weather, capacity, mechanical or animal-related issues. To check availability for a specific day, please call 503-226-1561.
Oregon Zoo memberships are customizable to fit your needs. Build Your Own Pack membership by purchasing at least one named adult (aged 18+), then adding up to one more named adult (aged 18+), up to 6 children (ages 2-17) and up to 2 flexible (unnamed) guests of any age. Up to two infants under 2 are free with a paid membership per visit. You may add children, guests and named adults up to the maximum allowed at any time during the current term of your membership by contacting Membership Services (below). Your expiration date will remain the same. Memberships may not be downgraded at any time during the current term of your membership.
If you have a membership that specifically covers children and you have already named two adults, you may add one caregiver (nanny, babysitter, guardian) at any time to your membership as a third named adult by contacting Membership Services (below). Your expiration date will remain the same. This option is not available online for purchase or renewal. Third named adults are not eligible for any discounts, and are limited to one per membership. All named adults, including caregivers, cannot be changed until the membership is up for renewal.
As of April 1, 2021, Individual, Dual, Family, Family Deluxe, Zoo Keepers Club and Zoo Directors Club level memberships are not available for purchase, renewal or upgrade to include add-on components of the Build Your Own Pack membership model. Daytime zoo admission benefits for these levels will be honored until the membership expires or is renewed under the customizable membership program described above, whichever comes first. Renewing former level memberships may result in access changes including the loss of free guest benefits.
All membership and general admission visits require a timed ticket reservation. Reservations must be made in advance of your visit; some capacity restrictions apply.
Members must be logged into their online reservation account to make free member reservations or to access any discounted pricing benefits. All general admission tickets purchased are not refundable and cannot be applied to a current, non-expired membership for credit, extension or partial refund. For online account help, visit our Help Center.
All named adult members and their children, guests and infants under 2, must have their own properly reserved timed ticket. Named adult reservations may only be used for the named adults listed on the membership, and may not be used to grant access to unnamed adults, caregivers or children. Child reservations may only be used for children aged 17 and younger. Guest reservations can be used for unnamed adults or children.
Logged in members may purchase additional discounted guest admission tickets when reserving free member visits online.
For all member visits, at least one named adult has to be present for entry. All named cardholders must present a valid photo ID to match the member name(s) as it appears in the member record, on the reservation ticket itself or on digital member card. You may not substitute an unnamed person for a named adult who is not present. All guests and children using a membership reservation must be accompanied by a named cardholder to use membership for access to the zoo. Unnamed guests using a named adult member reservation or using a member guest reservation without a named adult present will be charged for a daytime admission ticket. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Free infants under 2 are limited to two (2) per membership, per visit (per day).
Memberships are designed for single household use only. The number of guests or children is per membership, per visit (per day).
