Membership Terms & Conditions
*Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable*
As an Oregon Zoo member, you play an important role in supporting the zoo’s efforts in preserving threatened and endangered wildlife and make it possible to continue to develop new, world-class habitats and animal enrichment.
The primary benefit of membership is daytime access to the zoo. By purchasing, renewing or upgrading a membership, you accept these Membership Terms & Conditions, which may include changes to previous terms and conditions. Oregon Zoo reserves the right to make operational decisions that may result in changes to the membership program. Membership prices and benefits are subject to change at any time and without notice. Any change to benefits other than daytime access for adults, guests and children specifically covered by your membership does not constitute a breach of these terms and conditions. For current benefits, please visit oregonzoo.org/membership.
Memberships are for personal use only and are not for group homes, clubs, social groups, businesses, resale, or promotional use. Memberships cannot be shared with neighbors, friends, co-workers or relatives in a separate family unit. Membership cards are nontransferable; benefits only apply to named cardholders. Misuse of any nature may result in immediate cancellation of your membership.
Memberships start immediately upon purchase. Memberships are valid for one year from date of purchase or from your current expiration date, whichever is greater. Oregon Zoo will not be responsible for any zoo closures caused by conditions beyond the reasonable control of the Oregon Zoo, including, but not limited to, force majeur, government restrictions, natural disasters, emergency delarations, pandemics, strikes or lock-outs, accident, transportation delay, weather or power failure. The zoo is closed on Christmas Day, December 25, and may close on additional days for special events. Hours of operation are seasonal; winter operations may include limited days per week that the zoo is open to the public between November and February. Information about closures will be provided as early as possible on the Zoo’s website and social media. Please check the website before each visit to confirm hours. All rides, attractions and events are subject to weather, capacity, mechanical or animal-related issues. To check availability for a specific day, please call 503-226-1561.
Recent changes: As of April 1, 2021, new memberships are customizable to fit your needs. Build Your Own Membership by purchasing at least one named adult, then add an additional named adult (ages 18+), up to 6 children (ages 2-17) and up to 2 flexible (unnamed) guests of any age. Up to two infants under 2 are free with a paid membership per visit. Caregiver cards are available by calling the membership office (see Using your membership below).
Individual, Dual, Family, Family Deluxe, Zoo Keepers Club and Zoo Directors Club level memberships are no longer available for purchase, renewal or upgrade and are not eligible for any add-on components of the “Build Your Own Membership” model. Daytime zoo admission benefits for these levels will be honored until the membership expires or is renewed under the customizable membership program described above, whichever comes first. Former membership levels are independent packages with price and access components that are not comparable to current packaging and will not be converted. Changing from former packages to new custom memberships may result in access changes including loss of the free guest benefit, which is no longer available.
Using your membership: Named adults must be individuals 18 years or older. Upon each visit, all named adult members MUST present photo ID that matches member names as they appear on a valid membership card, digital member pass or member reservation. Guests or children on any level of membership must arrive with an adult member and check in at the same time. The number of guests or children is per membership, per visit (per day).
You may add one named adult to your membership as a caregiver (nanny, babysitter, guardian) if you have a membership that specifically covers children by contacting the Membership Office at 503-505-5493. Caregiver cards are not available online for purchase or renewal, are not eligible for any discounts, and are limited to one per membership. Named caregivers cannot be changed until the membership is up for renewal.
All membership visits at this time require a timed ticket reservation due to operating restrictions. All reservations must be made online in advance of your visit. All members and their children, guests and infants under 2, must have their own timed ticket reservation. No reservations can be made onsite. When current restrictions are lifted, updates will be posted to oregonzoo.org and members will be notified by email.
Restrictions: You may not substitute a guest for an adult member who is not present; Photo IDs are required for any named adult accessing the zoo. Guests are not members and may not use your member card for admission. Children must be accompanied by a named cardholder to use membership for access to the zoo. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Free infants under 2 are limited to two (2) per membership, per visit (per day).
You may access your membership information, including your purchase history, by logging into your account here: https://shop.oregonzoo.org/#/login.

Membership discounts must be applied at time of purchase and may not be applied toward prior purchases or combined with other offers. Membership packages of 4 or more are already discounted and may not qualify for additional offers. Additional restrictions, such as purchase location, may apply.
Membership benefits, including discounts on select retail, food and beverage offerings, may be used only during regular Zoo operating hours and may not be used during special ticketed events or concerts unless specified. Parking is not included and is subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
Oregon Zoo participates in a reciprocal admission program through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. We recommend that you contact the zoo or aquarium you would like to visit to confirm benefits.
