Oregon Zoo's 'Saving Species' scarf sends a conservation message to community

The Oregon Zoo has teamed up with Portland's two beloved soccer clubs to create a co-branded limited-edition scarf that will look fantastic while being furiously swung by local fans and help promote the zoo's vision of a better future for wildlife.

The "Saving Species" scarf — created by the Portland Timbers design team in collaboration with the zoo — will be available at Providence Park when the Thorns play the Seattle Reign on September 7 and when the Timbers take on the Colorado Rapids on September 8.

The Timbers and the Portland Thorns share a mission of improving the quality of life for children and families in the region. The Oregon Zoo is one of many partners that help bring the teams closer to their fans through community outreach.

The scarf will be available for purchase at the Timbers Team Store, the Thorns Team Store, online at shop.thornsfc.com and the Oregon Zoo gift shop. Scarves retail for $30, with a portion of proceeds going to support the Oregon Zoo Foundation's conservation programs.
